Wëër Bei 99.9 FM
Wëër Bei in the Dinka language means "redemption." The purpose of Wëër Bei FM is "to glorify God by providing radio broadcasting that disciples the Aweil people in the truth of Christ’s Redemption and the blessing of His rule throughout His whole Kingdom."
The FM station (99.9 FM), which broadcasts in Dinka, first went on the air in November 2009 with a 30-minute evening program. Since that time programming has increased to an hour on weekday mornings and two hours in the evenings (Monday–Saturday). The listener base has increased steadily into tens of thousands over a broadcast range that reaches a large part of the state and part of the neighboring state of Warrap.
Dinka staff produce the programs, which include readings from the New Testament, devotions, interviews (in-studio and call-in), testimonies, verse-by-verse gospel preaching through New Testament books, prayer, Old Testament storytelling, Bible storytelling with drama, news, songs and poetry.
As a result of listening to Wëër Bei, many have shared testimonies of redemption, turning away from their idols, being set free from addictions and joining local churches. With God's blessing, the regular and consistent sowing of the gospel among the tens of thousands of listeners will produce a harvest of souls for the Kingdom and a harvest force for a growing Church.
