The Republic of South Sudan, the world's youngest nation and one of the least developed, is rich with potential. With its bountiful natural and human resources, South Sudan is open to development on a massive scale.

Kingdom development is about investing in people not infrastructure. The gospel is the power of God that transforms people and nations. It is the local church that has been entrusted with the glory of the gospel, to preach it and live it.

In the ministry of the local church, priority is given to the preached gospel without neglecting deeds of mercy. The team has begun to develop ministries to bring education, skills training and material support in agriculture and health, as well as help to orphans and widows. As it partners with the local churches, great wisdom is needed in truly helping them minister mercy to their communities.

The ministries of mercy in the local churches are primarily done by the deacons under the oversight of the elders. Elders and deacons who are called, biblically qualified and committed to the work are champions for change in the community.
